Fire Destroys Shed, Golf Cart Near Campbellsport

Fire destroyed a shed in the southeast side of the county yesterday after a golf cart started on fire inside the shed.

At about 1:30 PM, May 30, 2023, the Campbellsport Fire Department was paged for the golf cart on fire on Birchwood Drive on the north side of Birchwood lake.

By the time department members arrived on scene, the fire had spread to the shed and to a bus next to the shed.

Campbellsport Fire requested that mutual aid be called in the form of a MABAS alarm to the first level.

Due to close proximity to the shed, a garage and another shed had sustained fire damage from the original fire.

No other information as far as amount of damage or how the fire started has been released.
