Suspects In High Speed Pursuit Captured After Vehicle Travels Off Road – Is Damaged

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating a high speed pursuit and vehicle crash that occurred early this morning in the southern part of Fond du Lac County and into Dodge County.

Shortly before 3:30 this morning, a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle travelling south on 41 near Y for speeding. The vehicle disregarded the officers lights and increased speeds to 125 mph.

The pursuit exited at Highway 49 and then turned east onto County KK which turns into Drumlin Drive.

With speeds continuing over 100 mph, the officer eventually lost sight of the vehicle and terminated the pursuit, but as is customary in pursuits, continued on in case the
vehicle crashed.

At some point now on Highway 67, the officer came upon the vehicle damaged and sitting stopped in the road. A high risk stop was performed and the driver and a passenger were taken into custody. In backtracking the path where the officer was no longer chasing the vehicle, it was found where the driver lost control and entered into a field and then drove back onto the road leaking fluid from the vehicle.

No other details are known at this time and KFIZ will update this story when a press release is issued.
