Fire Department Open House Planned Tuesday With Multiple Fire Safety Displays

This week is National Fire Prevention Week and to help area residence attain knowledge in fire prevention and safety, local fire departments are coming together to hold an open house event at the Fond du Lac Public Safety Training Center today, Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

The City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue department will be joined by the North Fond du Lac and the Town of Fond du Lac Fire Departments in the event.

Area businesses will also be on hand to offer information on fire safety.

Paul Davis Restoration will be conduct a burn cell demonstration.

JF Ahern will be there with their fire sprinkler trailer to show how a sprinkler can suppress a fire.

Alliant Energy and Wisconsin DNR will also be there as well as a display of the Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue aerial ladder truck and a display to show the importance of closing doors in your house when sleeping or when away from your house.

The Public Safety Training Center is located at 750 north Rolling Meadows Drive and the open house will take place from 4 to 7 PM.
