Lois Ann (Nelson) Babros

Lois Ann (Nelson) Babros, 86, of Fox Lake, WI went to heaven on Monday, December 25, 2023.

Lois was born January 29, 1937 in Fox Lake, to Lester and Florence (Yaroch) Nelson. Lois graduated from Fox Lake High School. She married Ronald Babros on August 31, 1957 and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage together. Family always came first and was above all else to Lois. She loved hosting family gatherings and excelled at decorating, baking, and cooking for family and friends. Lois was a very active and energetic lady and was involved in many organizations including Ducks Unlimited, Ladies Legion Auxiliary where she was the Chaplain, Religious Education, and other church-related groups. She volunteered at Beaver Dam Hospital and enjoyed weekly card clubs. Lois was a truly dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Lois is survived by three children: Terry Babros (fiance, Kristi), Tim (Deb) Babros, and Diane (Todd) Leider; six grandchildren: Josh (Jamie) Babros, Rebecca (Travis) Moin, Matthew (Jordan) Leider, Mitchell (Andrea) Leider, Jason (Lainie) Babros, and Tanner (Emily) Babros. She also enjoyed her eleven great-children; Sam, Annalyn, Hunter, Autumn, Isla, Avery, Sydney, Sterling, Lincoln, Elizabeth, and Oaklynn. She is further survived by her brothers: Dave (Jan) Nelson, Roger (Rhonda) Nelson, Warren (Ruth) Nelson, Dan (Colleen) Nelson, and Rick (Jean) Nelson; special sister, Sandy (Rich) Hollnagel; and many nieces and nephews. 

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; her parents; a brother, Wayne; and three sisters: Geraldine, Diane, and Jean.

Lois was a devoted Christian woman who always found something to be thankful for. The void left by Lois’s passing will be impossible to fill.  

Funeral services for Lois Babros will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake with Fr. John Radetski officiating. Burial to follow at Annunciation Cemetery in Fox Lake. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 5-7 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
