Results of Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign released

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office announced the results of their annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over holiday campaign which was part of a nationwide effort to prevent impaired driving. Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office made 14 OWI arrests between December 15 and New Year’s Day.

While the focus of the initiative was to eliminate impaired driving, deputies also issued citations and made arrests during traffic stops for the following:
33 speeding violations
46 operating after revocation or suspension violations
38 drug arrests
30 felony arrests
34 misdemeanor arrests
Lt. Eric Halbach of the sheriff’s office said “Every impaired driving arrest has the potential to save lives on our roads, so we are committed to continuing these efforts throughout the year,”
