Lorraine E. Kargus

Lorraine E. Kargus, 94, of Oshkosh went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at The Residence at Oshkosh. She was born in the Town of Blackwolf on November 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Harry and Adela (nee Luebke) Nimmer. Lorraine grew up in the Town of Blackwolf.

On July 9, 1993, Lorraine was united in marriage to Gordon Kargus in Oshkosh. She worked in housekeeping at the Bethel Home and the Pioneer Inn. Lorraine loved to garden and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her step-sons Gregory (Barbara) Kargus and Jeffrey (Beverly) Kargus, her step-grandchildren, her sister Jeanette Leeman, her brother Robert Nimmer, her sister-in-law Gladys Nimmer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death her husband Gordon on November 7, 2020, brothers Earl (Anita) Nimmer, Carlton Nimmer, and Harry Nimmer, Jr.  sisters, Erma (Kenneth) Zwicky, Fern Spanbauer, LaVerne (Robert) Zemke, and brother-in-law Ronald Leeman. 

Private family funeral services for Lorraine will be Monday, March 25th at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1206 Ontario St. Oshkosh. Rev Paul Lidtke will officiate and burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Van Dyne.
