Five different law enforcement agencies converge to look for suspect near Ripon
Law enforcement from five different agencies worked together to try and locate a male driver that was involved in a short pursuit out of the City of Ripon Early Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024.
At about 2:20 AM, a Ripon officer attempted to pull the vehicle over as it drove north out of the city on County Highway FF. The vehicle then turned north on Koro road where the driver stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road and took off running.
The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist with a K9 unit, while Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officers responded with a drone. Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers also responded to help maintain a perimeter.
After two hours of searching the area, law enforcement called off the search for the man, but they did take a female passenger from the vehicle into custody. Through investigation, it was found the driver is known and has a warrant through probation and parole and will also be facing additional charges of eluding.
