Farm equipment struck by train – blocks Lincoln and Cemetery Roads

A Canadian National train struck a piece of farm equipment that was crossing the railroad tracks on Lincoln Road just east of Van Dyne Road Friday afternoon, September 20, 2024.

The northbound train struck a trailer full of grain that was being towed by a John Deere tractor. No injuries were reported. Members of the railroad as well as the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash.

The impact of the crash sent grain up into the air and covered the train’s engine with it.
