Neenah 25 Fond du Lac 7

Fond du Lac took an early 7-0 lead against Neenah in the first quarter, capitalizing on a blocked punt after a four-and-out by the Rockets. Deandre Williamson connected with Connor Johnson for a 13-yard touchdown pass. The score was tied 7-7 at halftime, as Fond du Lac couldn’t convert a scoring opportunity inside the 10-yard line just before the break.

In the second half, Neenah’s standout player Grant Dean made a significant impact with a 56-yard screen pass that set up a 25-yard field goal, putting Neenah ahead 10-7. Later, Dean broke free for an 81-yard touchdown run, followed by a successful two-point conversion, extending the lead to 25-7. Despite the long run, Sam Plucker was pleased with how they managed to contain Dean overall.

Fond du Lac’s slim playoff hopes now hinge on a must-win game next week on the road against Oshkosh West.
