Charles “Chuck” Blanck

Charles “Chuck” Blanck, age 72, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, surrounded

by the family he loved so deeply. In his final moments, Chuck had the special opportunity to

say goodbye to those closest to him, reflecting the strength of the bonds he cherished

throughout his life.

Born on March 28, 1952, to Bob and Hazel (Merten) Blanck in the community of Johnsburg,

Wisconsin, Chuck spent his early years attending St. John the Baptist School and later graduated

from St. Mary’s Springs High School in 1970. He was an exceptional athlete, excelling in

football during high school and college.

On November 29, 1971, Chuck married Nancy (Engel), and together built a life grounded in love

and shared values. Nancy’s kindness and unwavering support complemented Chuck’s steady

resolve, and their partnership created a strong foundation for their family. Over the years, they

raised three sons—Carven, Ben, and Sam—instilling the same values of hard work, integrity,

and love for family. Their family was a constant source of pride and joy for Chuck.

Chuck was incredibly proud of his sons: Carven (Juli Pirelli), Ben (Colleen Trepanier), and Sam

(Dawn Dietrich), along with their families. He cherished their close bond, and family was at the

heart of Chuck’s life. He found great joy in the time spent together, whether during family

dinners, vacations, or simply being surrounded by loved ones. These gatherings were filled with

food, conversation, and laughter, creating memories Chuck treasured deeply. He took great

satisfaction in his sons’ accomplishments, not only in their personal and professional lives but

also, in the strong family unit they maintained.

Chuck became a journeyman sheet metal worker in 1984, marking the start of a career he

was immensely proud of. He finished his career at Muza Sheet Metal in 2011, leaving behind

a legacy of hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication. Chuck took great pride in his family’s

continued involvement in Muza, and their accomplishments brought him much satisfaction.

Chuck was deeply committed to his family, and though he often showed his affection through

Quiet actions, his unwavering love and pride were always felt by those close to him. He found

happiness in watching his grandchildren—Ali, Samantha Jo (Mike) Birdsall, Conner (Amanda

Baumhardt), Noah, Caden, Talan, and Mason—grow and succeed in sports and other activities,

whether it was hockey, baseball, soccer, or football. Their achievements brought him great joy

and fulfillment.

In addition to his love for the outdoors—fishing, sturgeon spearing, and hunting, Chuck

enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing Sheepshead, where friendly competition

was always present. Chuck’s toughness and competitive spirit came alive at the card table,

making each game with family and friends memorable.

While Chuck loved gathering loved ones around the table for fish frys, the true delight for him was not in catching the fish but in preparing and serving them to his family and friends. His

Famous phrase, “Eat it while it’s hot,” will be remembered by many, as these gatherings

became cherished moments, for all who shared them with him.

Chuck is survived by his three loving sons and their families, including his great-grandchildren,

Logyn and Lucy Birdsall, and Clara Blanck. He is further survived by his brother, Kevin, who

was his steadfast companion through life and many nieces and nephews. Chuck is reunited in

eternal peace with his beloved wife, Nancy, his parents, Bob and Hazel Blanck, and his siblings,

Cheryl Hammer, Bob Jr., and Dale Blanck.
