Oshkosh Police net biggest one day drug bust Thursday

Oshkosh police carried out two search warrants Thursday, October 24, 2024, that has netted not only a significant amount of drugs, but nearly 1/3rd of a million dollars in cash.

The locations of the search warrants are residences located in the 1700 Block of Lombard Ave and 1000 Block of Mt. Vernon St, both in Oshkosh.

The department says Based upon drug complaints from the public and a subsequent drug investigation, Investigators from the Oshkosh Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit established grounds for a search warrant for the Lombard Avenue location. At 6:14 AM, Thursday morning, they executed the search warrant, locating approximately 30 grams of Cocaine, 50 grams of Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and over $3,000 in cash.

Later in the day, Investigators executed the additional search warrant at the Mt. Vernon St. address, recovering over $330,000 in cash, about 7.5 pounds of raw Marijuana/THC, over 1,000 THC cartridges and approximately one kilogram of Cocaine. Investigators also seized three vehicles which are believed to be purchased with money from the sale and distribution of illegal drugs. At this time, investigators are also looking into several bank accounts which are thought to contain several hundred thousand dollars believed to be related to the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.

A 51-year-old Oshkosh man was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Drug Dwelling, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine over 40 grams, Possession with Intent to Deliver THC 2500 grams to 10,000 grams.
