80,000 pounds of butter recalled because it doesn’t warn its a dairy product
80,000 pounds of butter is being recalled from the Costco store chain because of information not printed on the label that has some worried those with certain food allergies could be impacted if they consume the product.
It seems that the words “Contains Milk” is needed on the label for those allergic to dairy that somehow have made it this far in life not realizing that butter is actually a dairy product.
As can be imagined, the news has caused a stir over social media leaving most in disbelief that this obvious fact would need to be stated with one user asking if a label on chocolate milk would be next saying it doesn’t come from brown cows.
Costco says Customers can either return the butter to the store or throw it out.
