At about 5:45 PM, the Lamartine Fire Department, North Fond du Lac Ambulance as well as Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of State Highway 151 at County Highway TC.

Upon arrival, first responders found six total people with injuries with some of them children. One female was reported not breathing, and despite life saving efforts, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The other five injuries were reported to be minor.

Because of the fatality, the highway was closed for an extended time as officers reconstructed the scene. The highway reopened at 9:40 PM

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, an eastbound vehicle on TC, driven by a 34-year-old Brandon woman, failed to stop at the stop sign for Highway 151 and drove into the path of a vehicle southbound on 151. The southbound vehicle was driven by a 41-year-old Fond du Lac man with four children in the vehicle.

The woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed at the scene. All occupants of the southbound vehicle were wearing seatbelts and were released from the scene with no or minor injuries.
