James Luciano Garcia
James Luciano Garcia was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 12, 1972, and baptized into Christ on May 28, 1972 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Milwaukee. He was confirmed at Morning Star Lutheran Church in Jackson, WI in 2013, and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Modesto, CA. On November 8, 2024, at the age of 52, Jim was called to his heavenly home after his battle with cancer at his home in Sonora, CA. Jim was married to Kerry Garcia, and they enjoyed traveling, hiking, swimming, and spending as much time together as they could. Jim had a strong faith, loved life, and loved to be surrounded by people. He lived every day to its fullest and treated everyone kindly.
Jim was the district manager for Waste Management in Sonora, CA and had recently accepted the position for Senior District Manager for Waste Management in Sacramento, CA. He was a drummer for many bands throughout his life, touring Europe and the east coast of the US with Cause for Revelation, as well as playing throughout the Midwest and at SummerFest.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie. He is survived by his wife, Kerry, children Selena (Matt) Stewart and Brady Ramthun, grandchildren Amberlynn and Calvin, father Luciano Garcia, brothers Rob (Desi) Garcia and Dave Garcia, and father- and mother-in-law Dan and Diane Immel, as well as many other relatives. The family rests in peace knowing that Jim knew his Savior and is now free from his earthly pain and suffering for eternity.
Visitation for James will be Sat. Dec. 7, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waucousta (W2011 County Road F, Campbellsport) followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church and burial to follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Oberg will officiate.
Special thanks to Pastor McKenzie and our church family of St. Peter Lutheran in Modesto, CA, who supported us in every way possible throughout this difficult journey, and special thanks to the Keeley family, who provided housing, help, and emotional support through Jim’s final breath.
