Man attempting to run from police ends up crashing into one

A 25-year-old Sheboygan man is in custody there after crashing his vehicle into a police cruiser Sunday, December 1, 2024, causing it to roll over, injuring the police officer inside it.

The incident happened around 8:15 Sunday night while the man was attempting to elude the police in a high speed chase. Authorities say the officer initially lost site of the vehicle, and while searching the area, the driver ran a stop sign, striking the police car.

The officer was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash and the man was taken into custody. He now faces multiple charges including Fleeing and Eluding an Officer, Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance, and Failing to Stop for a Stop Sign.
