Robert S. “Bob” Gritt

Robert S. “Bob” Gritt passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, in his home. He was born to Ken and Jean (Hoogstra) of Plymouth. After high school he went on to U.W. Madison graduating with a business degree. He began working for Kraft cheese taking him to Idaho and back where he ran Sunset Saddle Shop in Plymouth for 19 years.

He would say his biggest success was raising his three girls. All would go on to obtain post graduate degrees for which he was so proud of: Lisa, MD, Nicki, MSN, and Jenny, MBA. Although, we often joked that his favorite daughter was actually his niece Katie whom he had a great bond with. He loved watching his grandkids play sports and was always available to babysit both kids and dogs. He appreciated the relationship he had with his siblings, especially his brother, Ron. There was a special place in his heart for his nephew, Bryan, and he always looked forward to his Friday Fish Fry’s with Al.

He leaves behind his girls: Lisa and Jeff Weber, Nicki and Chad Franzen, Jenny and Hersh Sanghavi, and (Katie and Eric Anderson). Grandkids, Jillian, Parker, Sienna, Acadia, Vinay, Milan, Kian, and Bohdi. Brothers, Ron (Martha), Rick (Chris), and Gary (Nancy). His sister, MaryAnn (Al), and a sister-in-law, Lisa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Randy, and his favorite furry friend, King. We would like to thank Jeff, Chad and Eric for being the sons he never had.

Per Bob’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
