22-year-old Fond du Lac man killed in fiery car vs tree crash overnight

Fond du Lac Police are investigating an overnight crash in the city.

At 3 AM, June 20, 2025, Fond du Lac Fire and Police were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on National Avenue at Deneveu Circle.

The person calling in the crash advised that a vehicle had struck a tree and was on fire.

First units on scene found a four door seden involved in a high velocity crash with a tree, with the front end of the vehicle fully engulfed in flames with fire extending into the passenger compartment.

After the flames were brought under control, responders located one individual in the driver’s seat who had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.  No other occupants were found in the vehicle.

The driver has been identified as a 22-year-old male Fond du Lac resident.  Out of respect for the family his name is not being released at this time.
