Two Milwaukee Police Officers shot responding to a call

Two Milwaukee Police officers were shot Thursday night, June 26, 2025, while investigating a man with a weapon call near the area of 25th and Garfield.

As the officers approached the scene, they were fired on, both receiving gun shot wounds.

A 29-year-old officer with just over six years of experience on the job received non-life-threatening injuries, while a 32-year-old officer, also with just over six years of experience, is in critical condition.

Police say the suspect is known and is being sought by police.
