Oakfield Football Preview: The Oaks Look for a Deep Run in 8-Player Football

After a promising 2024 campaign that ended in disappointment, the Oakfield Oaks are gearing up for a pivotal 2025 season in Wisconsin’s competitive 8-player football division. Despite finishing last year with an impressive 8-1 regular season record, the Oaks were eliminated in the first round of the WIAA playoffs, falling short of their championship aspirations
This year, head coach Corey Rickert and his squad are determined to climb back into title contention. Although the team graduated seven seniors, Oakfield returns a strong core of talent, including 11 players from the Class of 2026.
With a mix of seasoned leaders and rising stars, the Oakfield Oaks are poised to make noise in the 2025 season. If they can stay healthy and execute, a deep playoff run — and perhaps a shot at the state title — is well within reach.
