Friday Night Football Recap: Kimberly Overpowers Fond du Lac Plus Area Scores

The first five possessions of Friday night’s game resulted in points, setting the tone for a high-scoring matchup. Kimberly struck first, taking an early 7-0 lead. Fond du Lac responded quickly with a 58-yard touchdown pass from DeAndre Williamson to Adrian Johnson, tying the game at 7-7.

Kimberly regained the lead at 14-7, but Fond du Lac answered again with a 31-yard touchdown run by Mason Henschel to even the score. However, Kimberly’s offense proved too much to handle, scoring touchdowns on all but one possession throughout the game.

Fond du Lac’s momentum took a hit when starting quarterback DeAndre Williamson exited with an injury. Sophomore backup Eli Michalkiewicz stepped in, but the Cardinals couldn’t keep pace with Kimberly’s relentless attack.

Fond du Lac ultimately fell 49-21. They’ll look to bounce back next Friday as they host Kaukauna on Hall of Fame Night at Cardinal Stadium.
