Shaun Raymond Riley
Shaun Raymond Riley passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on September 8, 2025. He was born on April 17, 1950 at St Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, the son of Raymond and Dorothy (nee Deere) Riley. He attended St Joseph’s Elementary School and graduated from Goodrich High School in 1968. Shaun attended Moraine Park Technical college where he received electrical and technology degrees. His training took him all over the world (often to Korea).
Shaun lived life with curiosity and a sense of adventure. He had a passion for flight, particularly his powered parachute and his sports car. In his earlier years he enjoyed sky diving, wind surfing and motorcycling. He was “Mr. Fix It” with anything mechanical or electrical.
Upon retiring he and Linda owned and operated “The Porch of Fremont” restaurant in Fremont, WI. In 2018 they moved from Weyauwega to Van Dyne to occupy a remodeled chapel. It became their “happy place” and held love and laughter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (nee Blair) Riley; and his brothers Shannon (Kathryn McLane) Riley of San Marcos, CA, and Daniel Riley of Fond du Lac. He especially enjoyed time with Linda’s daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Jacob Marcoe, as well as Linda’s grandson Alexander. He will be remembered by family, friends and colleagues as a gentle spirit and enduring kindness.
Shaun was preceded in death by his parents and brother Sheridan (Casey) Riley.
Per Shaun’s wishes he will be buried without fanfare at his family’s plot in St Mary’s Cemetery in Eden.
