Shellie Rae (Patch) Hagen
Shellie Rae (Patch) Hagen, age 64, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away on September 4, 2025, at the Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. She was born in Bemidji, MN on January 29, 1961, a daughter of the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Karen Patch.
Shellie was preceded in death by her sister Sheila Kay Lindell, niece Jessica Patch, and nephews Matthew Lindell and Michael Lindell.
Shellie married Michael “Mick” Hagen on May 13, 2023, in Fond du Lac where she had made residence during their long courtship and string of shenanigans began. She worked at several jobs to fill her time when she was not crocheting gifts or caring for her mother up until her passing. The joy in her days came from her beloved shih tzu pups – Joplin was the little devil she loved to hate, the offspring of the late Duke and Dutchess – and time spent with her granddaughter Makenzie.
She is survived by her four children Karen Rae Merrill (Scott) of Minocqua, WI, Luke Geiser (Tracy Overmann) of Sebeka, MN, Jenny Moen (Ty) of Blackduck, MN, and Betsy Marie Hanks of Shakopee, MN; three stepchildren Pamela Hagen (Adam Bronski) of Milwaukee, WI, Katherine Smith (Shane) of South Carolina, and Emily Hagen of New Mexico; her grandchildren Kendall, Lily, and Miles Merrill, Dylan and Kylie Moen, Johnnie, David, Peter, and Thomas Kanowitz, and Makenzie Hagen; four siblings Kelly Patch (Anita Erickson), Karla Patch-Anderson (Reed), Kevin Patch, Rudolph Patch (Jane); sister-in-law Diane Bayer (Craig); brothers-in-law Jon Hagen (Chris), Matthew Hagen (Myla), and Brad Lindell (Robin Fehr); and numerous nieces and nephews.
