One injured in two separate Fond du Lac County crashes
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to two serious crashes yesterday.
The first occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. when a driver on I-41 saw a vehicle leave the highway from the southbound side. This was reported near Highway N. Responding units at first couldn’t find the vehicle, but after nearly 10 minutes of searching, they found the vehicle rolled onto it’s roof in the ditch just north of N on the northbound side. The driver was reported to be un injured.
The second crash occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on County Highway M just south of Highway 23. Rosendale Fire Department and first responders and Ripon Ambulance responded to that crash.
Upon arrival, first responders found a three vehicle crash with one person trapped and at least one injury.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle was towing a piece of farm equipment that extended into the oncoming lane. A driver traveling in the oncoming lane struck the farm equipment, causing significant damage to the drivers side and injuring the drivers left side.
The driver of the vehicle towing the farm equipment was charged with operating left of center.
