One of the biggest fentanyl pill busts in state history announced in Manitowoc County

The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office announced this week an ongoing investigation they’ve been conducting that could be the largest fentanyl pill seizure the state has ever seen.

According to the department, three men were taken into custody back in January after a multi jurisdiction traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle that was under surveillance in Manitowoc County.

In the stop, police recovered over 43 pounds of fentanyl, with a street value of nearly $6 million.

The three men involved all had Arizona addresses and have been in custody in Manitowoc County since their arrests.

One of the three was sentenced to 10 years in prison on November 20th, 2025, while the other two are still in the court process.
