Powerball climbs to $1.5 billion for second consecutive time
Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in Wednesday night’s drawing, so the jackpot will climb to an estimated $1.5 billion for Saturday’s drawing December 21, 2025.
This makes it the second consecutive time that the jackpot has climbed to over the $1.5 billion mark with no winner in between. The first time that has ever happened in US Lottery history. The last Powerball jackpot won was on September 6th when the jackpot rose to $1.78 billion. The second largest jackpot in US lottery history.
Though no one won the jackpot in last night’s drawing, 8 matched all the numbers except the Powerball for $1 million with two of them hitting the powerplay for $2 million.
At $1.5 billion, this jackpot rises to the 7th largest US lottery jackpot and the 5th largest Powerball jackpot.
