Lucky feline rescued by Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue from second story window ledge

A Fond du Lac feline has escaped with most of it’s nine lives after Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue were able to rescue it Monday night, January 5, 2026, after it became stuck on a second story window ledge.

At around 7 p.m., the department was called for the stuck kitty in the 100 block of south Main Street in Downtown Fond du Lac.

Three members of the department worked together using a ladder to reach the cat which seemed overall willing to trust the firefighter that climbed up to grab him.

With a few unsure meows, the cat was brought down and handed to it’s waiting owner for a happy reunion.
