Sargento Cheese Company named one of the most innovative

The Sheboygan County based cheese company Sargento, has been named one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2026 in the food division from the organization “Fast Company”.

Fast Company is a leading progressive business media brand, focused on innovation, technology, leadership, design, and the future of work. Founded in 1995, It’s known for its annual “Most Innovative Companies” list and in-depth industry analysis.

In this year’s list, Sargento was named the number 3 company in the food division, with Fast Company crediting Sargento for being the first company to make American cheese a real cheese item rather than the normally accepted processed food, reimagining the 100-year-old staple as a 100% natural cheese that was 10 years in the making from Sargento.
