Oshkosh man arrested for OWI after severely injuring passenger

A 27-year-old Oshkosh man was taken into custody Wednesday after being arrested for Operating While Intoxicated Causing Great Bodily Harm.

The charge stems from an early morning crash where authorities say the driver, with 3 passengers, crashed into a pole while traveling northbound on Division Street near Church Avenue.

As a result of the crash, a 29-year-old male passenger, also from Oshkosh, was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries.

Division Street was closed in the area of the crash while a Wisconsin State Patrol crash reconstruction team worked the scene.
