Shots fired near Lomira leads to search warrant

Dodge County Sheriff’s Officers conducted a search warrant in the village of Lomira Sunday, May 25, 2026.

The search warrant was issued during an investigation into a report of gunshots being fired during the overnight hours in an apartment complex at that location.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls of a disturbance involving multiple individuals, and gun shots being fired, near the 1020 Printer’s Row apartment building. Following the gunshots, multiple vehicles and people fled the area. Responding deputies arrived and began an investigation which continued into the day on Sunday. Evidence obtained during the investigation led to a search warrant which was executed by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team.

The sheriff’s office says there’s no evidence to suggest there’s any continued threat to the community, based upon the investigation which they say remains active.

Despite the search warrant, the department says nobody was taken into custody related to the gunfire and are asking anyone who was present at this incident to contact the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
