Severe Storms Sparked Tornado Warnings Wednesday

Severe weather rolled through the area Wednesday afternoon, sparking several tornado warnings. It started about 5:30pm when weather spotters reported seeing a funnel cloud near Green Lake, although so far the National Weather Service has not confirmed one. That tornadic thunderstorm then took aim at Western Fond du Lac County as it moved extremely slowly to the southeast at between 20 and 30 miles per hour.  Heavy rains and small hail fell across several communities including Rosendale, Brandon, and Waupun. In the Green Bay area, flash flooding filled up streets, while hail accumulated in others causing residents to bring out shovels to clear it.
