Flash flooding clean-up continues in northeast Wisconsin
Clean up continues in the Green Bay Metro area as torrential rains there on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, dropped more than three inches of rain in a short period of time.
Officially, Ashwaubenon was hit the hardest, recording 3.71 inches of rain.
Other areas saw around two inches falling in a 45 minute time span, leaving busy roads like Lombardi Avenue, Shawano Avenue, Oneida and Mason Streets under water with multiple stalled vehicles on them.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded to 42 emergency calls in a three-hour time period during and just after the storms, in some cases using inflatable rafts to rescue those stranded in stalled cars on flooded streets.
Large amounts of small hail accumulated like snowfall on front lawns, piling up to several feet deep where flood waters flowed.
