Woman arrested after high speed pursuit in Fond du Lac County

Two women were taken into custody after an overnight high speed pursuit in Fond du Lac County.

Shortly after 1 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2026, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy was tracking a vehicle wanted in a drug investigation, northbound on I-41 entering Fond du Lac County. The deputy initiated a traffic stop at 41 and F and the driver initially pulled over, however wouldn’t open the window to interact with the officer.

The driver then took off northbound at a high rate of speed in an attempt to elude the officer. After reaching speeds in access of 130 mph, the suspect vehicle approached a deputy with a tire deflation device at Lost Arrow Road.

With several tires hit, the driver stopped underneath the Highway 151 bridge and took off on foot while a front seat passenger remained with the vehicle and was taken into custody.

Multiple other law enforcement officers, including the City of Fond du Lac and Wisconsin State Patrol converged on the area and were able to take the driver into custody.

During the investigation, both the driver and passenger showed signs of needing medical attention so two City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue ambulances were dispatched.

According to the passenger, the driver had thrown an item out the window prior to stopping the vehicle so officers conducted an extensive search for the item. Because of this search, the northbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for officer safety while they were on the highway.

The lanes were opened back up at 2:47 a.m.

According to police reports, the passenger was released and the driver, a 33-year-old Appleton woman was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Fleeing/Eluding, Resisting or obstructing an officer, Second degree recklessly endangering safety, and misdemeanor and felony bail jumping.

According to court records, the woman has an extensive drug offense history with five open cases currently pending.
