Jerome Vande Berg

Jerome “Butch” Vande Berg, 70, of Ripon, went to his heavenly home Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Butch was born December 6, 1946 in Ripon, the son of Alvin and Joan Redeker Vande Berg. He was employed at Diverse Options in Ripon for 40 plus years. Butch enjoyed playing cards and watching movies. He was a member of Alto Christian Reformed Church in Alto.

Butch is survived by three brothers: Ron (Sharon) Vande Berg of Brandon, Dennis (Nancy) Vande Berg of Waupun, and Dwaine (Cathy) Vande Berg of Waupun; five sisters: Beverly (Bernie) Mulder of Waupun, Pat Homan of Waupun, Judy (Harlan) Hopp of Oakfield, Ellen (Ron) Mittelstaedt of Kiel, and Karen Vande Berg of Manitowoc; aunts, uncles, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Joan Vande Berg; a brother-in-law, Harry Homan; a nephew, Daniel Mulder; and a niece, Cindy Mulder.

Funeral services for Butch Vande Berg will be held Monday, December 26, 2016 at Alto Christian Reformed Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Forsell Gappa officiating. Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on the family at Alto Christian Reformed Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
