Lois A. Patton
Lois A. Patton, 72, of Brandon died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac following her courageous battle with recurring ovarian cancer.
Lois was born November 11, 1941 in Racine, the daughter of Clarence and Eleanor Enders Kotenbeutel. Lois attended schools in Wabeno, Appleton, and St. Cloud. In 1959 she graduated from New Holstein High School. Later that year she married David Patton. Lois was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun and she also enjoyed attending services at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Brandon. Until recently, Lois was a member of Rock River Country Club in Waupun. She enjoyed playing golf, her family, cooking, music, and puppy dogs. Lois enjoyed doing things for others. She had a big, loving heart.
Lois is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Patton of Brandon; a daughter, Victoria “Torie” Patton of Montello; a son, Frederic “Rick” (Karen) Patton of Fond du Lac; a brother, Richard (Claire) Kotenbeutel of Madison; a very special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Patsey and Skip Robertson of Shawano; along with many nieces and nephews who were dear to her.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Laurel Rice’s team at Carbone Cancer Center at UW Health in Madison along with Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope for their compassionate care for Lois and her family.
Funeral services for Lois Patton will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun with Rev. Michael Wild officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. Friends and relatives of Lois Patton may call on the family on Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
The family requests memorials be directed to either UW Health Carbone Cancer Center or Diverse Options, which was a long time employer for Torie.
