Lyle Beyer
Lyle Beyer, age 90, of Chilton, died on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Century Ridge in Chilton. He was born August 8, 1929 in Chilton, son of the late Edgar & Lenora (Schluchter) Beyer.
Lyle married Carol Anhalt on July 26, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton. He and Carol farmed in the Town of Chilton for 45 years before officially retiring in 1994. His passion for farming remained in him, however, and he continued to assist two other farmers while in retirement until he was physically unable to do so.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the Calumet Sno-Trails Snowmobile Club.
Lyle especially loved winter when the trails were freshly groomed and he could hop on his snowmobile and ride for miles on end. He enjoyed listening to and dancing to polka music and appreciated the solitude of sitting on a tractor doing field work and solving all of the world’s problems.
He was a hard working individual who was always willing to help anyone with anything and went out of his way to plow snow for others throughout the winter. Above all else, he was always there for his family when they needed him. He appreciated time spent with those he loved, but especially loved teasing the grandkids and smiled each and every time he could get a reaction out of them.
Lyle is survived by his wife of 69 years: Carol; his children: Terrance (JoAnn) Beyer, Jane (Gordon) Loose, Pamela Beyer, Jody (Larry) Ditter, Peggy (Rick) Kees, Stephanie (Jeff) Lemke, Aaron (Lisa) Beyer, Jeffrey (Breanne) Beyer; 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; his siblings: Marlene Neuber, Dean Beyer, Wilmer (Betty) Beyer; and 2 sisters-in-law: Adella Anhalt & Karen Anhalt. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 great grandchildren: Ali Ditter & Kamila Kees; his in-laws: Reuben & Ina Anhalt; and e brothers-in-law: Alan Neuber, Steven Anhalt & Paul Anhalt.
