Agnesian HealthCare Welcomes New Foot And Ankle Surgeons

Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Drs. Robert Bertram and Sarika Parikh, new podiatrists (foot and ankle specialists) who are now seeing patients on a rotating basis at Agnesian Clinic Ripon, Agnesian Health Plaza Building A and Waupun Memorial Hospital.

A newly-married couple, Drs. Bertram and Parikh diagnose and treat disorders, diseases and injuries of the foot, ankle and lower leg. They are dedicated to getting patients back on their feet and back into their lives.

They specializes in a variety of foot ailments and issues, including: reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthritis, arthroscopy, nerve injuries, sports injuries, fracture care, Achilles tendon disorders, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, bone spurs, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, diabetic limb salvage, pinched nerves, flat feet, diabetic foot care, warts, wound care, pediatric conditions, trauma, occupational foot and ankle care, and ankle replacements. 

Both doctors earned their podiatric medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Bertram completed his podiatric foot and ankle surgery residency at the Detroit Medical Center, while Dr. Parikh completed her residency at the Roger Williams Medical Center.

For Dr. Bertram, his arrival at Agnesian HealthCare signals his return to Fond du Lac after being born and raised in the community.

“I look forward to returning to Fond du Lac and giving back by providing care to those who gave me so much growing up,” says Dr. Bertram. “In my new role, I will be working one-on-one with all my patients and take a conservative approach before moving to surgery. We will work to find ways they can stay active longer.”

Both providers will be working with all ages to help manage a variety of foot and ankle concerns.

“Education is important with each patient,” Dr. Parikh says. “I work together with each person to make decisions that fit their specific lifestyle. It helps to bring a sense of family and comfort in their care.”

In addition to seeing podiatry patients, Dr. Parikh will see patients at Agnesian Wound Care in Waupun.

Drs. Bertram and Parikh live in Fond du Lac. Dr. Bertram enjoys cooking, lake activities, outdoors, hockey and golf, and the Green Bay Packers. Dr. Parikh enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, yoga, swimming and running.
