Area Universities Continue to Make Changes due to COVID-19

Three universities in the area are continuing to make
changes in their operations as COVID-19 continues to spread across the country.

Marian University in Fond du Lac is suspending in-person
classes starting March 23^rd, and online classes will begin on that
date through Monday, April 13^th. Students who live on-campus are not
allowed to return to campus before April 13^th, while off-campus
students are asked to use their judgement when returning, but must avoid
campus.

At Ripon College, all classes will move to an online format
beginning March 30^th. All residence halls will be closed effective
by the end of the day Monday (March 23^rd), and those students wanting
to remain on campus past the 23^rd need to fill out a new request to
stay in the residence halls by Noon on Friday. Students are strongly encouraged
to leave personal belongings in place until a later date to minimize contact
between people.

At UW-Oshkosh, all classes will move online as of March 30^th
and will continue online through June 5^th. The university has also
canceled the spring commencement – but a news release says campus officials are
considering their options, which include possibly re-scheduling graduation for
a later date. In addition, beginning Monday, “only employees needed to deliver
necessary campus services that cannot be completed through telecommuting” will remain
on campus. That order will remain in place until further notice.
