Bovine Still Loose In Brandon

Residents in the Brandon area are in search of an elusive cow, missing since Sunday. The 4 1/2 ft tall, 425-lb bovine was being unloaded from a trailer Sunday when it decided to take off. It had not been seen since, until the FDL County Sheriff’s Office received a call just before 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night for a report of a caller finding a cow standing in the intersection. The 34-year old female caller was at the intersection of Upland Dr. and Sweet Meadow Dr. near Brandon, where she stated there was a cow hanging out in the intersection. The missing cow is a Highlander breed, with shaggy, reddish-brown fur, and short horns. Deputies were quick to point out no charges have been filed, as no MOOOOO-ving violations were observed.
