Boy Drowns in Washington County Lake

A two-year-old boy died from an apparent drowning in
Washington County Thursday afternoon. Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies
along with Lifestar Ambulance and the Slinger Fire Department were called to
Big Cedar Lake in the Town of West Bend just after 2 pm for a report of a child
found unresponsive in the lake. Life-saving efforts were attempted on scene,
and again at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend. Ultimately, those attempts
were unsuccessful and the boy was pronounced dead at the hospital. The
Washington County Detective Bureau and the Washington County Medical Examiner’s
Office are investigating the case.
