Fond du Lac’s Fruth Field Undergoes Transformation

For over 75 years, Fruth Field has been the hub for countless Fond du Lac School District and community activities. Fruth has been a source of pride for our entire community and it is from this perspective that we look to usher in a new era of excitement on West 9th Street. The face of Fruth will soon change when the ticket booth structure is demolished to make way for the complex that will house two plazas, two concession stands, a retail area for Fondy Cardinal logowear, and the much-needed upgrade in the restroom facilities. The complex will also include tiered landscaping and fencing upgrades that will enhance the overall appearance of this area.

 

The fundraising efforts have reached a point where the building process can begin. Businesses, booster clubs, and organizations throughout our community were an essential component to the success of this campaign. Subsequently, it is important to note that additional funds are still needed to ensure full project completion. Naming rights are still available for various sections of the complex. Businesses and organizations interested in exploring this option are encouraged to contact Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert at 906-6502 to inquire about this opportunity.

 

Individuals who are interested in becoming part of the Fans for Fruth campaign still have time to become involved as well! Bricks that will line the interior of the structure at the main entrance are available for purchase. The inscribed nameplate recognizing an individual, families, alumni, or coaches can be purchased as a half brick for $125 or a full brick for $250.
