Garage Fire In Town Of Oakfield

On January 11, 2014 at 4:00am, the Fond du Lac Communications Center received a report of a garage fire at N4119 S. Barton Road in the Town of Oakfield.  Fire Departments from Oakfield, Brownsville, and Eden responded along with deputies from the Sheriff’s Office.  The garage had two vehicle inside.  The damage was contained to the garage.  The owner, Jay Newton along with his family were able to get out of the residence safely. The fire appears to be electrical in nature and not suspicious.
