Governor Signs Property Tax Relief Bill

Governor Scott Walker yesterday signed the $100 million property tax relief bill into law during a ceremony at the Rice Family Farm in Burlington. The tax relief was made possible by higher than expected growth in state revenue. The state also spent less money than anticipated in the last fiscal year. The bill passed the Senate on a 28 to 5 vote and by an 82 to 12 vote in the Assembly.
