Information is being sought from the public in regards to two hit and runs that occurred over the weekend. Police were called Saturday morning to the 300 block of N. Macy St. where a caller said late Friday night, about 10:15, they saw a dark, full size truck pull out of a driveway, followed by a loud crash. Upon further investigation Saturday morning, it was discovered that the truck backed into another vehicle located on the block.
The second incident Saturday night just before 8:45 p.m. when a tan Buick Century was struck by a dark colored Monte Carlo that ran a red light. The incident occurred at the corner of N. Main and E. Scott St. The driver of the vehicle that was hit claimed to have seen two white, male occupants in the other vehicle, approximately 20 years of age.
The car that ran the red light crashed into the front corner of the other vehicle, then took off south on Main St. That vehicle would have damage to the driver’s side. There were no injuries reported in either accident, and there are no suspects at the time. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the FDL PD.
