Names Released in Fatal Crash in Town of FDL

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s
Office has released the name of the man killed in a two-vehicle crash in the
Town of Fond du Lac Friday morning. Authorities say 63-year-old Paul Thorpe of
Fond du Lac died at the scene as a result of the crash. Investigators believe a
northbound vehicle failed to stop at stop sign at the intersection of Brown
Road and Esterbrook Road, and an eastbound vehicle then hit a utility trailer
being towed by the other car. Thorpe was in the eastbound vehicle, which went
into the ditch. He was ejected from the car. 23-year-old Jacob Carlson of Poy
Sippi was driving the northbound car and was not injured.
