Navy Investigating Unexpected Lambeau Field Flyover

The Navy is continuing to investigate an unplanned flyover of Lambeau Field during last week’s Packers-Steelers preseason game. Two Navy helicopters unexpectedly flew over the stadium while the game was in progress – not during the national anthem. Naval Air officials say the helicopters were in the area for training – but the airspace over Lambeau Field has a temporary flight restriction ranging from one hour before until one hour after games. Neither the city nor the Packers were told about the flyover and it was not a part of the game events.
