NFDL Village Mill Rate Will Increase Slightly
The mill rate for village taxes in North Fond du Lac will be going up slightly this fall. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says it is going up 16 cents. The mill rate will be $8.87 compared to $8.71 this past year. That works outs to about a $1.25 increase a month on a $100,000 home. One of the reasons for the tax levy increase is to give village employees a 2 percent increase in pay. The total increase in the $3.5 million budget was about $20,000. Hornung feels their staff did a pretty good job keeping expenses down. The village board will continue to discuss the 2018 Village Budget next Monday. They will hold a public hearing and give their final approval to the budget and tax levy on Monday, November 20th.
