Picketers Seen around FDL Part of Sheet Metal Workers Union Strike

Several members of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 18
have been picketing in front of Fond du Lac area businesses this week as the union
continues a strike against the Wisconsin Sheet Metal Contractors Association.
The strike has been going on since last Thursday (June 20^th), and
was started because of what the union says are the employers’ “unfair labor
practices”. Local 18 said in a statement that the Association has refused
to meet with the union about contractual disputes and that “The Union and its
Sheboygan area members will continue to stand up to the Association and demand
that it meets and bargains with the Union in good faith on all matters.”
