Preliminary Hearing For Robbery Suspects

Two of the three Milwaukee men suspected of robbing a Campbellsport couple in their home on Double D Road will be in Fond du Lac County Court this afternoon for a preliminary hearing. Derrick Johnson and Dominic Cloyd allegedly robbed the couple, Quinn and Sheri Laidler, at gunpoint on December 8th taking more than $8,000 from a safe and nightstand. Johnson allegedly struck Sheri Laidler in the head and accidentally shot another suspect Danny Morris while Johnson was rummaging through a backpack. Johnson and Cloyd dragged Morris out of the home and later took him to the Aurora Clinic in Hartford to be treated for the gunshot wound. Police there were notified about a person with a gunshot wound, which eventually led to the arrest of the three suspects. Charges were also filed against Morris for his alleged role in the robbery.
