Ripon Common Council Creating New TID

The Ripon Common Council this week approved two resolutions for the creation of new Tax Incremental District. Mayor Gary Will says one resolution is for the project plan and the other would allow the City to use extra income from TID # 15 to help out TIF District # 11. He says the City did take over ownership of a few properties on Watson Street the past few years and they have a developer that is interested in a downtown project.  He says some income from TID #15 will be used to help TIF District #11 because there will be a shortfall at the end of that TIF’s life.  He says there are still a few steps they have to take to create the new TID. He says for one thing it has to go before the Joint Review Board.
