Sixth Street Fire Update

Fond du Lac firefighters cleared from the scene of house fire on 6th street about an hour after the fire call came in this morning. Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says they cleared by about 5:45 this morning and now the investigation begins on what started the blaze in the two story home at 83 6th Street. He says a man living in the home suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. His parents weren’t at home at the time of the fire. He says most of the damage was to a second floor bedroom. He says there might be some water damage to the first floor as well, but the fire damage was on the second floor. The time of the fire call was 4:35 a.m. Photo courtesy of the Fond du Lac Fire Department.
